Benjamin and I had a fun afternoon at SeaWorld last week. I think the 3 of us are heading down there again tomorrow. Got to get one last day in with mine and Jeff's passes. I love the holiday season, I love bundling up with warm sweaters, jackets, scarves etc... We may spend the morning playing at the beach, but we will bundle up for an afternoon/evening at SeaWorld. I hope that everyone is enjoying family and friends during the special holiday season.

Christmas

Really - this month goes by faster and faster each year. Here is a picture of my handsome son, dressed and ready to go to the Old Globe theater and see the production of the Grinch with Grammy and his cousins.

Tomorrow we are heading to Coronado and the Hotel Del. I will definitely be bringing the camera.

Friends

Benjamin is such a good helper. He wanted to share his toys, blankets, books, videos and snacks with "C". We hope they come and visit again soon.

A father and his son at....

His 1st college football game. We took Benjamin to see the San Diego State Aztecs play football. Benjamin had more fun being at the stadium than actually watching the game. It got really cold so we stayed through half time. I know that there are MANY more football games in our future.

How exciting. Benjamin was the first one to see Buzz Lightyear as he was coming out to Tomorrowland. No line ~that's a first. Buzz is one of the few characters that Disneyland does not really create a line for and it is chaotic at times.

Christmas Disneyland Trip

We spent 2 wonderfully fun days at Disneyland and California Adventure. We met two family friends from Santa Barbara. The kids and the adults had a great time. Can't wait to go again.
I have been really bad about keeping up with this site, but that is going to change.

Enough already!

I am not suprised at all by this response and reaction. This boy has had a camera in his face for the past 4 1/2 years and really not complained about it at all. Today he REALLY wanted to play on the playground, not be my photo subject. Still is very sweet, even with those lips pouting.

November already? ! ?

We have been on the look out for new and fun parks to play at and great locatioins for me to do some photo shoots. Benjamin is a good helper when it comes to finding good playgrounds and great rocks to climb on. This picture does not do it justice, but we have just been having the most amazing sunsets recently.

Halloween week

We stuffed a few pumpkins, been to a Halloween party, put out a sign and now need to do some carving. Looking forward to some fun this week.

Natural History Museum

Since moving to the San Diego area, we have been exploring parks, beaches and museums. Today we left daddy home to watch the CHARGERS defeat the Texans and went to the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park. We had a nice afternoon. I think this week we are next heading to the SD Zoo. Lot's to do with kids in this town.

Santa Barbara Fun

We have been away... So I am definitely behind on my daily postings.

I love this picture. Benjamin the storm trooper wanted to take a picture with Ava (Baby Bear). In this picture she could have gone as a ewok instead of the baby bear. Cute - Cute!

Pictures this time of year are just amazing. The colors of fall/pumpkin patches are great. We took two trips to Lane Farms in Santa Barbara while we were up there.

New Parks

We have been checking out new parks to play and to use as locations for photography. This park in Santee/El Cajon was fun.

FALL

Well... We finally made our first trip to the pumpkin patch. We are going again this week with the preschool class. I love this time of year.

Walk in the Woods with Gramma

I love this picture. Benjamin and his Gramma exploring the forest and collecting treasures. He was leading the way and continued to go forward and forward and forward. Finally we had to say ~ it is about 40 degrees and cold, let's go home.

Big Bear, CA

We had a fun weekend in Sugar Loaf visiting Gramma.

Benjamin was a great help ~ feeding the birds and the squirrels.

He collected all kinds of treasures out in the forest. The next day the weather was too cold to be outside. He made a great collage with the treasures.

Disneyland

We spent a very fun day at Disneyland on Thursday. I bought annual passes again. Who is up for a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth? Let me know - we are ready to go again.

Shamu

We had another very fun day at SeaWorld with friends
from Santa Barbara. This is truly my new favorite part
of the park. It is so amazing to be so close (not at this
exact moment tough) to these huge creatures.

Rueben H Fleet Museum

We had a rainy day when Grace and Ava were here, so we spent a fun afternoon at Balboa park. The kids loved all the interactive stations at the Rueben H Fleet Museum.

I can't believe I had never been to this area of Sea World before. What an amazing view of these GIANT creatures. It was so fun to see "SHAMU" up close. A~loved the whales. This one totally seems to be looking at her.

These beautiful flowers have been with me longer
than most things at my house. I remember buying this
potted plant when I lived in San Francisco. That
was before I was before I had a child, before I was married, before I was engaged. I am actually impressed that they are still with me.

What a fun thing to watch. He was so full of excitement and joy watching his cousins game. Also full of questions ~ When is she going to kick the ball in that net, when is she going to run this way, why are they blowing those whistles....? Maybe it is the age, but questions are non-stop.
