Never can get enough of water fun!

Spring break is here and doesn't that mean fun, friends and WATER? This morning we played at a friends house (the kids had soo much fun together) and then we came home and played in the backyard. Water was definitely a BIG part of the fun!

San Diego Zoo

Spring break is here. We met some friends from school today at the SD Zoo. The kids had a great time, the weather was beautiful, it was great to be out with other adults, and the zoo was CROWDED. You can definitely tell kids are out of school.

Sunday, March 16
Basketball season is over... and now we are off watching my nieces soccer game.

This morning was the basketball pizza party and my boy got his first sports medal. Can we say excited. I think he fell asleep with on.

Weather

We knew rain was expected at some point today... Instead we got

HAIL

and pretty big pieces at that.
When the hail had stopped, we went out front and looking west to the ocean was this beautiful sky.
On the tv they announced flood watch warnings for east county. More rain should be coming tomorrow.

Friends Playing Games

Benjamin had his friend Jay over to play today. It was such a nice thing for me to be standing in the kitchen listening to the boys play. They played outside, inside, set up the train tracks, Flippin Frogs, and of course the Fishing game.....

Egg Hunts have begun

Well ~ today was the the "spring" egg hunt at school. I guess this is the beginning of the easter season activities. Spring break has begun and bunny cakes and egg hunts at grammy and grampys are still to come.

Afternoon activities

After preschool we stopped to get a haircut for the boy. He agreed that he definitely needed it. The lady at the barber shop did a GREAT job! Benjamin even liked the spikey hair.

Playing Daddy's guitar is a popular activity right now.

Crazy 8's and Go Fish are two of our favorite new games. He is really good and it is such an amazing feeling to watch my 4 year old son play cards, look at what is in his hand and know what he wants to do next. Granted sometimes when playing Crazy 8's he does tell me to Go Fish....

PS ~ in case you were wondering, the band aid is to help protect a scratch that continues to get re-opened.

Easter Egg

I can't believe Easter is in less than 2 weeks. Wow - who said we could have Easter in March. Benjamin and I found a bag of Easter decorations. Definitely not the quantity as Christmas or Halloween, but still very cute and fun.

OH MY GOSH.... Kindergarten is right around the corner. I went to pick up the registration packet today. What a strange feeling to know that my baby is going to be in school 5 days a week in full-time kindergarten.

I love it when he falls asleep reading books.

I have joined a book club. Being so sick this past month though, I missed the meeting. But~ I did finish this book. I really enjoyed the storyline.

I'd recommend this book.

He loves playing catch with daddy...

This time he closed his eyes..... Let the ball hit his chest....

The rest of the time was catching, running and throwing the ball.
